About Season Ten

Season Ten: A rock band like no other from Cincinnati, Ohio.

One warm Ohio morning during 2nd period, high school sophomore Jared Metz turned to his classmate Alex Sarkisov and asked “Hey, what’ve you been listening to recently?”

The pair soon discovered that they shared an interest in the same music and were both enthusiastic musicians, thus planting the seeds for Season Ten.

“How do we create a Radiohead/The Stokes/Arctic Monkey’s fusion?” was the big question we were asking ourselves in 2012. The answer soon became clear - we don’t. We create Season Ten.

‘Bassist Needed’ along with a phone number was the only prompt our drummer (yes, drummer) Alex Murphy-White needed to contact Jared and Alex 1.

Although initially our group’s bassist, one day Alex 2 played Rush’s Tom Sawyer on the drums to perfection so we kicked out the old guy and sat Alex 2 behind the kit.

Fellow Ohioan Brian Neinaber joined as our bass player and Season Ten was formed!

Now a complete quartet, we quickly recorded our 2013 debut album Dada, named after the minimalist art movement. Overflowing with ideas and passion, while Dada was being mixed, we were already piecing together our 2015 successor Tiny New Dimension.

Unfortunately, Season Ten cornerstone member Brian left before the release of our third project Nature which we envisioned becoming our crowning achievement - actualizing the Season in Season Ten. However, with some less than perfect production and a lack of press attention, it fell short.

With Brian gone, we had to shift our attention to finding a new bassist and spent 2-3 years searching for his replacement.

Someone upstairs was smiling down on us when we found our bassist, Michael Villareal. Not only did he bring his dynamic 4-string skills but also added vocal harmonies to our sound, something we hadn’t delved into before.

While in quarantine, Jared and Michael began writing our 4th album Brainstorm with a fresh new perspective.

After 10 years of musical mimicry, it was time to step up and grow into our own personality. Brainstorm might be our 4th album, but it feels like a debut. The chemistry and creativity between us four boys is unmatched.

"When acquainted with the vocals, it’s more than noticeable how well they sync with the music, creating something atmospheric, or of ambience."

"The song describes some of Jared’s characteristics such as communication, or in his words “a very young man’s overzealous intentions”".
